Updating Obsibrain
Keeping your Obsibrain template up-to-date ensures you have access to the latest "magic" features, performance improvements, and critical bug fixes.
One-Click Updates
Obsibrain features an integrated update system that handles the complexity of keeping a multi-plugin system synchronized.
Open the Command Palette: Press
Ctrl/Cmd + P.Run the Update Command: Type "check" and select "Obsibrain: Check and install updates".
Automatic Synchronization: The system will check for new versions of the Obsibrain plugin and its core dependencies. If an update is found, it will download and install it automatically.
Note: This command is thorough—it will attempt to update the Obsibrain engine as well as required 3rd party community plugins to ensure maximum compatibility.
Understanding the Update Process
Obsibrain is a living system. While most updates happen automatically behind the scenes, some major releases might introduce new templates or folder structures.
Self-Healing Updates: Most minor updates are handled by our Vault Self-Healing system, which automatically restores core files if they need updating.
Manual Intervention: In rare cases, we may provide a changelog with specific instructions for new features that require your input.
Release Notes: Every time you update, you can view the latest improvements directly in the update notification or by visiting the Changelog section of this documentation.
