At the heart of Obsibrain lies its intuitive daily planning system, which serves as the central hub for managing your tasks, reflecting on your progress, and aligning your actions with your long-term goals.

That's the first action you should do when you first open Obsidian, checking your Daily Planning, see what tasks are currently set for today and what needs to be done.

By starting each day with the Obsibrain daily planning process, you'll cultivate a habit of intentional focus, reflection, and goal-oriented productivity, setting you up for success throughout the day and beyond.

Accessing the Daily Planning

The daily planning can be opened either by using the "Open Daily" command (using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Cmd + P) and search for "Obsibrain: Open Daily" inside the command palette) or by clicking the quick access button on the right sidebar within Obsibrain.

Daily Task Overview

This view provides a comprehensive overview of your tasks for the day, including:

  • Overdue Tasks: Any tasks that were due before the current day.

  • Due and Scheduled Today Tasks: Tasks that are scheduled / to be completed on the current day.

  • Ongoing Tasks: Tasks that are currently in progress or have no specific due date.

This at-a-glance summary allows you to quickly assess your priorities and ensure you're staying on top of your responsibilities.

Daily Periodic Review

In addition to the task overview, the daily planning page also includes a section for your daily periodic review. This is where you can take a moment to reflect on your progress, celebrate your accomplishments, and identify areas for improvement.

By taking the time to journal your thoughts and feelings, you can gain valuable insights that will help you optimize your productivity and stay aligned with your objectives.

Tracking Projects and Goals

The daily planning page also provides a direct link to your projects and goals, allowing you to easily track your progress and make adjustments as needed.

From this central location, you can quickly access your active projects, review the associated tasks, and ensure that your daily actions are contributing to the achievement of your long-term goals.
